WELCOME TO SALT

Owners Chris and Nicole having spent many years running restaurants in St.Ives Cornwall, they relocated to Newark in the spring of 2007. Missing the seafood that they loved so much, saw an opportunity to open salt in early October 2007.

Although set in a 16th century grade 2 listed building. Salt has a modern feel to its restaurant seating 34 inside and a further 30 in a private courtyard to the side of the building which will host the seafood Barbecue's in the summer months.

Chris and Nicole's focus is on achieving a friendly and relaxed atmosphere in which you can kick back with a group of friends or have an intimate dinner for two.

Their aim is to use the freshest seafood all sourced from well managed fish stocks and to support local businesses by using as much local produce as they can.

Opening times Tue-Sat 10am-2.30pm & 6pm till Late Sunday 12.00pm - 3.00pm
